Lindsey Badillo is an online business coach and consultant who helps female clients gain confidence with sales. She started as a teacher, then relationship coach, and eventually moved into business coaching which she points out is all about relationship building. She uses and teaches a heart-centered strategy in nurturing clients.
Women are guided by their hearts and emotions and they want to feel good about how they set prices, how they reach out to clients, and their overall business strategy. And when we are led by our hearts, our clients feel it and results follow.
Heart-Centered Business Model
To build a sustainable business with consistent revenue, you have to have a strong foundation of trust between you and your clients. We must have the confidence that we will be successful and go forward without tying our success to too many metrics. Whether you are creating content, writing, photographing, or coaching, you are providing a service and service comes from the heart. When you are using your gifts to help people, it’s hard not to succeed.
Our perspective carries a lot of weight so view your meetings and conversations as transformational rather than transactional. Ask yourself “How can I provide transformation for this client and their business?”. When we view our clients as potential dollar signs, it comes across as trying to sell them, rather than trying to help them. And when you make that sale from helping your client, you feel good about collecting the money because your service was genuinely from the heart.
Tip for Building/Refocusing a Heart-centered and Sustainable Business Model
If you’re an online creator, think about giving your audience a “home”. Provide service for ALL your clients by having some free offers and some low cost, medium cost, and high ticket offers. These may come in the form of memberships, monthly services, or packages. The lower cost offers can be what you can whip up quickly because it’s your forte, you like it, and are good at it. The higher tiers would be things that take more of your time and effort. This way you can provide a service for everyone and those low ticket items may lead to higher ticket ones later!

How to Convert Soufulness into Sales
Try not to worry about the outcome of a sales opportunity. Your overall success doesn’t depend on making a particular sale. Your mindset of success coupled with providing a service from the heart will bring you success.
Make it fun! You can make a playlist of songs about money and dance and sing to them before pitching your offering. Loosening up puts you in your heartspace and helps you to come from a place of graciousness.
Ask “What would Spirit do?”. Spirit would treat that client how you would like to be treated. Come into any conversations, events, and sales opportunities totally detached from the outcome. Be open, follow your heart, and the sales will materialize.
Make sure you are specializing in an area that feeds your soul and where you feel like you’re having fun rather than working. When you feel energized and fulfilled within your niche, you know you’re operating from the heart and your inner confidence will flow.
