Episode 2:

  • Having a plan for achieving your goals (1:09)

  • Becomes a list of what you do and what you don’t want to do (1:15)

  • Did you make a resolution? Did you find it hard to stick to the resolution? Then the resolution just went away. (1:52)

  • SMART goals stands for Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant Time based (3:45)

  • In your business Specific might mean that you want to grow your following on Instagram 

  • Measurable, for example it's January 1st and you have 100 followers and you want to grow your following,  you can measure that by January 30th you want to have 200 followers

  • Achievable, making it happen, are you going to post everyday, every other day, twice a day, every two days or maybe do an Instagram live every Wednesday? How many stories you want to post. In essence, what are you doing exactly to make that happen?

  • Relevant, does it make sense? Question whether it is relevant to your business, do you need Instagram for your business? Rather maybe it is Youtube or Linkedin. 

  • Time based, when do you want to achieve that by? What time do you want to do this? A  month, a year?

  • Smart goals are not just for your business but it is applicable to everything. (6:30)

  • Having big goals and understanding that everything will not happen overnight (9:37)

  • Setting goals in a quarterly basis (10:09)

  • Why is it worth all the hard work it takes to be a self-employed entrepreneur? (12:14)

  • Coming in halfway through the year and feeling like you did not accomplish the goal, continue to try (12:34)
